Don't be intimidated by the multi-functionality and the corresponding number of control buttons of this cooker. Follow this instruction, and you will see how easy to use this cooker. PLUG the cooker into wall outlet. OPEN THE LID by turning the knob on the lid counter clockwise. ADD INGREDIENTS to the inner pot, not to exceed the "Max" marking. CLOSE THE LID by turning the knob on the lid clockwise. USE ONE TOUCH COOKING PROGRAM to cook by pressing one of the four buttons (Rice, Brown Porridge, Vegetable Soups, and Fragrances). The cooker will start cooking immediately and fully automatically. No adjustment is either needed or allowed. This is for maximum convenience. Alternatively, you can USE ADJUSTABLE COOKING PROGRAMS to cook by 1) pressing "Menu" to select one of the 8 cooking programs (Rice, Porridge, Soup, Chicken, Beef/Mutton, Bean/Tendons, Fish and Cake), 2) pressing "Mode" to select cooking mode (Fast, Standard, Essence, Braise, Slow Cook, Stew or Steam), 3) pressing "Pressure Adjust" to select cooking pressure level 1-7, 4) pressing "Preset" repeatedly to set delayed cooking, and 5) pressing "Start" to start cooking. Remember that "Mode", "Pressure Adjust" and "Preset" are all optional steps. DURING COOKING you will not hear any steam because the pressure is automatically control. The cooking is quiet, clean, efficient, and fully automatic. AFTER COOKING: The cooker will beep and then automatically enters "Keep Warm". PLEASE NOTE that this cooker has a stainless steel inner pot that is super thick. All surfaces in contact with food are stainless steel.
