This sandwich toaster not only makes fancy panini-style grilled sandwiches in minutes, but also batter-based items, such as pancakes or omelets, as well as turnovers or French toast. What's more, by switching the grill plates, the appliance becomes a waffle iron, providing even more meal options. The Meal Maker's indicator light turns off when it's ready to cook, and, once a sandwich or batter has been put onto the plates, the cover latches shut to keep batter in place or sandwich edges crimped. The nonstick grilling surfaces wipe clean with a damp sponge or paper towel, or they can be removed and washed by hand or in the dishwasher.
